Former President Mahama Cuts Sod For Ghc1 Million Ultra-modern Maternity Ward for Atebubu Government Hospital

Former President John Dramani Mahama has cut sod for the construction of a Gh1 million 3D ultra-modern maternity and surgical ward for Atebubu Government Hospital.

The construction of a 40-bed capacity block facility is a promise former President Mahama made to the people of Atebubu a few months ago when he joined Muslims of Atebubu to celebrate Salafest

Speaking on behalf of former President John Mahama after the sod cutting, the Member of Parliament for Atebubu Amantin constituency, *Hon. Sanja Nanja* stated that the project is expected to be completed in three months.

He said the facility, when completed, would not only serve inhabitants of Atebubu but also adjoining communities.

The MP indicated that the construction of the facility formed part of his contribution to improve and expand access to quality health care delivery in the municipality.

He also advised the contractor to make good use of the resources given to them to complete the project on time.

On his side, the Estate project Manager at Atebubu Government Hospital, Dr. Fiifi Smith also commended former President Mahama and Hon. Sanja Nanja for taking such initiative to support the hospital.

He called on others to also come to their aid to address the challenges facing the hospital.

Finally, Mr. Dubegtey Tei the contractor of the project also disclosed that within 3months the project will be done
