Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to articulate his vision for the upcoming 2024 general elections under the theme ‘Ghana’s Next Chapter: Selfless Leadership and Bold Solutions for the Future.’ The address will take place at the Kofi-Ohene Konadu Auditorium of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) in the Greater Accra Region.
In his anticipated speech, Dr. Bawumia will underscore the importance of leveraging technology, data, and systems to foster inclusive economic growth. The Vice President aims to position Ghana as a digital hub for Africa, emphasizing the reduction of the digital divide and the transformative impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence on sectors such as healthcare, education, and public service delivery.

Addressing party members after securing the flagbearer position, Dr. Bawumia reiterated his dedication to the NPP and Ghana, highlighting his 22-year journey from the Kufuor era as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana to years in opposition and the current government. He emphasized his unwavering loyalty and a proven track record of performance as the Vice President.
