Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak, have confirmed the signing of talented defender Ransford Mensah from lower-tier side Danbort FC. The club made the announcement on Monday, August 19, expressing great excitement about the new addition.

“Done Deal! From Danbort FC to Hearts of Oak. Ransford Mensah is a Phobian, and we are pleased to call you one of ours,” the Accra-based club proudly declared, highlighting their enthusiasm for the latest recruit.

Ransford Mensah is among seven new players unveiled by Hearts of Oak as they prepare for the upcoming season. The other new signings include Ramzy Yussif, Mawuli Wayo, Hussein Mohammed, Kwabena Boateng, Isshak Saani Mohammed, and Yahaya Draman.

After narrowly escaping relegation last season by finishing 14th, Hearts of Oak are determined to strengthen their squad to compete for trophies in the new campaign. Despite several changes to their technical team last season, the club failed to win any silverware.

As the new season draws near, the Phobians are actively engaging in the transfer market, looking to bolster their squad while also considering parting ways with some players. The signing of Ransford Mensah and the other newcomers marks a significant step in their preparations.
