Frederick Kofi Ameyaw, member of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications team has opined that Ghanaians are not idiots and cannot be deceived that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and John Mahama will not cancel Free Senior High School (SHS) policy if voted into power.
During an interview on TV3’s NewDay, Frederick Ameyaw stated that the former president John Mahama trashed the policy when it was first promised by the president, Nana Addo who was then the Presidential candidate of the NPP.
“Ghanaians are not idiots when they say that the National Democratic Congress will cancel the Free SHS policy. Once upon a time, he(John Mahama) said FSHS is a whimsical promise of a desperate politician and he doesn’t believe in that. Other countries are attempted and failed so Ghanaians cannot do it” he recounted.
Frederick Ameyaw further recounted some statements made by John Mahama where he mentioned that he would not invest GHc2 billion into Free Senior High School after the ruling party promised to introduce FSHS.
According to him, he believes strongly that the NDC will cancel the FSHS when they are voted into power.
