Broadcast journalist Bridget Otoo has criticized the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that it is “rotten from the top.” In her view, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has shown itself to be more credible and effective over time compared to the NPP, which has long been held in high regard.
In a post shared on X, Otoo highlighted what she perceives as differences in accountability and behavior between the two parties. She criticized NPP members for perpetuating misinformation and failing to correct falsehoods, while praising NDC members for their willingness to address and retract fake news when it is brought to their attention.
Otoo noted that while NDC members, like @CheEsquire, are quick to call out and correct inaccuracies within their ranks, the NPP lacks similar internal accountability. She concluded that the NPP’s leadership issues are reflected in the behavior of its supporters, stating, “It is rotten from the top!” Otoo urged NDC foot soldiers to avoid comparing themselves to what she described as the less disciplined members of the NPP.
