Gifty Oware released after 20 days in custody; co-accused remain detained over stringent bail

After spending 20 days in the custody of the National Investigation Bureau (NIB), Gifty Oware has finally been released upon meeting her GHS 10 million bail condition.

She secured three sureties, two of whom were justified, to gain her freedom.

However, her co-accused — Osei Asibey Antwi and Alhaji Hanan — remain in custody as they are yet to meet their GHS 100 million bail requirements.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Hanan’s wife was granted freedom today after satisfying her GHS 50 million bail terms.
