Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the President Akufo-Addo, have both deceived Ghanaians, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has noted.

Asiedu Nketia says Dr. Bawumia’s admission to being a mere driver’s mate shows all his promises to the people were lies.

He asserts the Vice President should have ended his campaign the very day he told Ghanaians he was a driver’s mate.

According to him, there is no difference between Bawumia and Akufo-Addo, asking whom he expected to fulfill the promises he was making knowing very well he lacked the capacity to achieve them.

Speaking with Nana Yaa Brefo Danso on Onua FM Wednesday, May 22, 2024, General Mosquito, the NDC Chair’s alias, noted the Vice President worsened his woes the day he made that statement.

“Who was he expecting to fulfill the promises he was giving us as driver’s mate? So he has personally accepted that he deceived Ghanaians and should have ended his campaign the day he told us he was a driver’s mate. If you knew you couldn’t do what you were saying, why should you promise Ghanaians with them and tell us you were a driver’s mate? So there is no difference between Bawumia and Nana Addo. They have both deceived Ghanaians,” he noted.
