The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged party members to unite as they gear up for the December 7, 2024, general elections.
Dr. Bawumia made this appeal during a visit to the Fomena Constituency as part of his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region on Friday, November 15, 2024.
The Fomena Constituency has been at the centre of parliamentary vacancy controversies. Its MP, Andrew Asiamah Amoako, who entered the 8th Parliament as an independent candidate, now seeks to contest the 2024 elections on the NPP’s ticket.
Speaking to party supporters, Dr. Bawumia stressed the importance of unity, urging all members to set aside differences and work collaboratively to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming polls.
“What I have seen here in Fomena indicates that by midnight on December 7, we will hear the news that the NPP has won the presidential and parliamentary elections and that Andrew Asiamah is the next Member of Parliament for Fomena Constituency.
“I will sleep peacefully today because what I have seen here in terms of unity and love has assured me that we will win the elections.
