“Back to winning ways” – Joseph Paintsil reacts after inspiring LA Galaxy’s win over Vancouver Whitecaps

Ghana international Joseph has shared his excitement after helping LA Galaxy to defeat Vancouver Whitecaps to return to winning ways in the Major League Soccer.

The Black Stars winger started and lasted 77 minutes as his outfit secured a 4-2 victory over their opponent at the Dignity Health Sports Park.

Painstil was instrumental for LA Galaxy, registering his name on the scoresheet in the thrilling encounter.

Before this game, LA Galaxy had suffered a 4-2 defeat to Portland Timbers in the top-flight.

However, the Ghanaian attacker has taken to social media to express his delight after beating Vancouver Whitecaps to bounce back to winning ways.

“Three points. Double digits. Back to winning ways” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

LA Galaxy broker the deadlock through Gabriel Pec after 32 minutes and went to the halftime break with the advantage.

The host doubled their lead in the game following an own goal from Sebastian Berhalter, five minutes into the second half before the visitors pulled one back through Brian White in the 63rd-minute.

Paintsil found the back of the net in the 69th-minute to extend Galaxy’s lead after he was set up by Gabriel Pec before they cemented the win on stoppage time through Ricard Puig.

The visitors managed to pull one back through Sam Adekugbe in injury time as the game ended 4-2 in favour of LA Galaxy.

Paintsil has been impressive since joining LA Galaxy from Belgium outfit KRC Genk in February 2024. He racked up 10 goals for the five time MLS champions since his arrival.
