Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Dismisses Three Sabronum Chiefs Over Illegal Mining Involvement
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has decisively removed the Gyaasihene, Akyeamehene, and Baamuhene of Sabronum from their positions, effectively stripping them of their titles and responsibilities as traditional leaders.
This firm action was taken during the Asanteman Council meeting held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Manhyia Palace.
The dismissal is a direct result of the three chiefs’ involvement in illegal mining activities, locally known as ‘galamsey’.
