The Tano South Constituency secretary of the National Democratic Congress in the Ahafo region Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Frimpong has confirmed that the vetting of the parliamentary candidates aspirants have today started in the Ahafo region and it is a one-day activity which according to him shall come to an end this evening.
He revealed in an interview on High Radio breakfast Show dubbed High Morning Breeze Chaired by Kwaku Mensah Abrampa that all the vetting processes will happen today at the Ahafo regional capital Goaso for 5 constituencies despite the total of 6 constituencies indicating that One Constituency (Tano North) in the region is not partaking in today’s vetting.
He disclosed that the Tano South constituency has more contestants (4) out of the 5 remaining constituencies adding that there shall be the presence of constituency executives at the vetting center to monitor proceedings in ensuring that candidates don’t give out false information.
Mr. Kwame Frimpong added that the party has established a 7-member appeals committee to settle all disputes that may arise in the course of the vetting processes. He explained that candidates who for any reason feel he is cheated must channel their grievances to the appeals committee for consideration.
He said the work of the appeals committee begins on the 4th to the 6th of April.
