Actress Benedicta Gafah has called on Corporate Ghana to invest in Movie Award Schemes.
She is of the view that just like they have over the years invested in the music industry, the same energy needs to be given to the movie industry.
This she believes will spur movie talents to give their best and will also motivate talents to explore careers in the industry.
“I just hope that there will be a lot of sponsors on board as there are for the Ghana Music Industry. We used to have one but I don’t know what is happening to it. it’s been long since one was held.
It feels good to know that your work is being recognized and you are being nominated. People may feel that awards are nothing but It pushes you, it gingers you to work hard because you’ll feel like okay a lot of people are watching and people love me. One way or the other everyone wants to be appreciated for their effort and I think that is the same thing the people in the movie industry want,” she told Gh One Television.
