The Coca-Cola pledges $1.4 million to support Morocco

The Coca-Cola system has pledged a total
of $1.4 million to aid relief efforts in
Morocco following the recent earthquake.
This includes a $1 million donation to
the International Federation of Red Cross
and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) by The
Coca-Cola Foundation and the deployment of
$200,000 from a previously approved
grant to CARE. The local bottling partners,
ECCBC Morocco and SBGS, are also involved
in supporting the affected
communities.

The actions taken by the Coca-Cola system
in Morocco include a direct cash
donation to the earthquake relief account at the
Morocco Treasury and Bank Al Maghrib, as
well as in-kind donations of beverages
and essential supplies to organizations
such as the Mohamed V Foundation, local
authorities, and NGOs.

To ensure the
well-being of their employees and families, the
Coca-Cola system has facilitated access
to resources for those impacted by the
earthquake.

Saadia Madsbjerg, President of
The Coca-Cola Foundation, expressed
sympathy for those affected and stated that
the Foundation is working with the IFRC
and CARE to provide essential supplies.
Luisa Ortega, President of Coca-Cola Africa
operating unit, emphasized their
commitment to supporting the affected communities
during this recovery phase.

Alfonso
Bosch, CEO of ECCBC, assured their
dedication to easing the suffering and rebuilding
efforts, while Hassan Amsrouy Belhassan,
CEO of SBGS, expressed support for the
impacted communities and commitment to
working with relief organizations and
partners.

The Coca-Cola system intends to
continue working with local partners to
provide assistance and support to those in
need. They aim to stand together with their
employees, retailers, restaurants, small
