Residents of Kato Anyinasu electoral area in the Berekum East District of the Bono region have expressed dissatisfaction with the government over the negligence of their deplorable bridge that links Anyinasu to Kyenkyenase through to Wamfie and other communities within the Bono region.

The Anyinasu community is predominantly made up of farmers who bring their farm produce to the market through the deplorable road. The bridge and the road keep affecting smooth transportation and also pose a danger to the lives of the people who ply the road which eventually resulted in an accident that nearly killed a motor rider plying the road after a heavy downpour this weekend. The rider escaped death but had his motorbike trapped inside the water that overflowed the bridge after the downpour.

Speaking to some residents who usually ply the road, they expressed their dismay towards the government for failing to support the construction of the almost collapsed bridge.

They indicated that the nature of the road poses a danger to the people hence failure of the Nana Addo-led NPP government to construct the road will compel them to vote against the NPP government for different a party to help construct the death trap bridge for them because it has been claiming a lot of lives.
