In a miraculous event, a 7-year-old Sunday School boy from The Church of Pentecost, Emmanuel Kofi Kpentor, has brought his dead father back to life through faith. The incident was narrated by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, during his State-of-the-Church Address to councillors at the 46th Session of the General Council Meetings of the Church at the Pentecost Convention Centre at Gomoa-Fetteh on May 3, 2023.

The boy’s father, Daniel Kwaku Kabre, had been pronounced dead by the Worawora Government Hospital and was to be sent to the mortuary. However, Emmanuel, who had an unwavering faith, insisted that he would not allow them to take his father’s body to the mortuary until he had prayed for him to wake up. The medical personnel, surprised by the boy’s faith, allowed him to pray for his deceased father.

As they were transporting the ‘dead body’ to the mortuary after the boy’s prayers, the body started shaking, and they rushed back to the doctors for medical attention. By God’s grace, Daniel was restored to life, surrendered his life to Christ, and was baptized on June 26, 2022, along with his wife.

The miraculous event is a testament to the power of faith and prayer, and it has garnered cheers and praise from the gathering at the State-of-the-Church Address. It also shows the strength of family bonds and the unwavering faith of a child. This incident is sure to inspire many to have faith and trust in the power of prayer.
