Locotvgh.com can reveal that Chelsea’s interest in Sporting CP’s Manuel Ugarte is being held up by the club’s search for a new manager, particularly their pursuit of Mauricio Pochettino.

The Blues are also hesitant to make any major signings until a long-term coach is secured.

While Liverpool has expressed interest in Ugarte, sources suggest that he is not a priority for the club at the moment, and they are instead focusing on other players for the No.8 and No.10 positions, including Khephren Thuram. Ugarte’s release clause of €60million may also be a sticking point for Liverpool.

However, Mason Mount and Alexis Mac Allister are reportedly among the club’s main targets.
