The Ministry of Education has dismissed claims that it intends to introduce Arabic as a compulsory subject in Ghana’s public schools.
The Ministry says reports suggesting that Arabic will be imposed on students are inaccurate and do not reflect government’s education policy.
The clarification follows discussions surrounding proposed changes to Ghana’s curriculum, which include reforms aimed at improving learning outcomes and introducing additional learning opportunities.
The Ministry has assured the public that any changes to the curriculum will follow due processes and will be communicated officially.
It urged parents, teachers and stakeholders to rely on information from authorised sources to avoid misinformation.
