Residents of Amasaman Obeyeyie have staged a protest over the poor condition of roads in their community, calling for immediate government intervention to improve accessibility and mobility.
Scores of demonstrators took to the streets to express their frustration over what they describe as years of neglect, which has left the road network in a deplorable state.
According to the residents, the bad roads have made movement difficult, disrupting daily commuting, business activities, and access to essential services such as healthcare and education.
They noted that some sections of the roads have become almost impassable, especially during the rainy season, further worsening the hardship faced by the community.
The protesters are urging relevant authorities to prioritise the rehabilitation of the roads, warning that continued neglect could deepen suffering and further isolate the area.
They say urgent action is needed to improve connectivity and support livelihoods that depend heavily on reliable transport infrastructure.
