C/R: Community Police Assistant Stabbed While Attempting to Arrest Suspected Criminal at Ajumako Bisease

A 25-year-old Community Police Assistant stationed at Ajumako Bisease in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region has sustained serious injuries after being stabbed while attempting to arrest a suspected criminal.
Information gathered by Channel 247 news Yaw Boagyan,indicates that the victim, identified as Obed Twum, was in town when he heard a commotion from a nearby area.
He quickly rushed to the scene and reportedly spotted a man who had allegedly been declared wanted by the Ajumako Bisease Police for suspected criminal activities.
According to eyewitnesses, when Obed Fynn attempted to apprehend the suspect, identified only as Yaw, the suspect suddenly pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed the officer.
The suspect immediately fled the scene after the attack, leaving the Community Police Assistant bleeding profusely.
Residents who witnessed the incident quickly rushed the victim to the Ajumako Bisease Polyclinic, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. His condition is said to be stable.
The incident has caused fear and concern among residents of the community, with many calling on the police to intensify efforts to arrest the suspect and ensure the safety of security personnel and the public.
Police have since launched an investigation into the incident and are pursuing the suspect, who remains at large.
No arrest has been made so far.
