SHADRACH BOAKYE YIADOM DECLARES INTENT TO CONTEST 2ND VICE CHAIRMAN POSITION FOR NPP IN AWUTU SENYA EAST
The Assembly Member for the American Two Electoral Area, Shadrach Boakye Yiadom, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of 2nd Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency.
He made this declaration during a radio interview on *Omanbapa Kasa Morning Show*, hosted by Kusi Damoah.
Speaking on the program, the Assembly Member emphasized that his track record and competence speak for themselves, citing his service and contributions to the people of American Town.
According to him, his primary motivation for contesting is to reconnect with the grassroots and help reunite factions within the party. He acknowledged that the party had made some mistakes in the past but stressed that efforts are underway to correct them and foster unity.
He further called on delegates to prioritize competence, dedication, and unity, urging them to avoid personal attacks during the election process.
> “Elections are about mutual understanding and intelligence, not personal attacks,” he stated.
Mr. Boakye Yiadom expressed confidence that, with his leadership as 2nd Vice Chairman, the NPP will be well-positioned to recapture the Awutu Senya East parliamentary seat in the 2028 general elections.
He also commended the current party executives for ensuring a transparent and fair electoral process, from membership registration through to the ongoing internal elections.
According to him, the process has been largely peaceful and credible, creating a solid foundation for rebuilding the party toward future electoral success.
