Benjamin Obeng Antwi, Public Relations Officer for Ashanti West of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has announced a series of major infrastructure projects aimed at improving electricity supply in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, ECG is currently undertaking nine key projects focused on strengthening the region’s sub-transmission network.
These include the upgrading of power lines and transformers to enhance efficiency and ensure a more stable power supply.
He explained that the initiative forms part of broader efforts by ECG to address power challenges and meet the growing energy demands in the region.
The upgrades are expected to significantly improve reliability and reduce outages in parts of Ashanti.
The announcement highlights ongoing investments in Ghana’s power distribution sector as authorities work to improve service delivery and support economic activities.
