Hon. Phillis Naa Koryor, Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, has announced plans to address the persistent water challenges affecting Kasoa and its surrounding communities.

Kasoa, located in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, has been grappling with a severe water crisis for some time, particularly following ongoing road construction along the Kasoa–Winneba Road. The situation has made it increasingly difficult for residents to access water through their taps.

Speaking during a radio interview on Pink FM’s Omanbapakasa Morning Show hosted by Kusi Damoah, Hon. Koryor described the issue as urgent and assured residents that steps are being taken to mitigate the situation.

As part of immediate interventions, she revealed that 12 additional boreholes will be constructed across affected communities, complementing the five already completed. According to her, this measure is the most practical solution while road construction works continue

She also touched on the government’s Big Push initiative, noting that the Awutu Senya East Constituency has been included to benefit from improvements to inner roads while major highways are under construction. However, she indicated that the exact number of kilometers allocated to the constituency is yet to be communicated.

Hon. Koryor emphasized her commitment to infrastructure development, highlighting key roads such as Gada to Opeikuma, Otamens–Rock City, Walantu Blue Top, and Joe Mens roads as priorities. She noted that improved road networks will significantly boost economic activities in the area.
