The CEO of VICPEE Fashion and Decor  Mrs. Victoria Atta- Peters recently  shared insightful perspectives on the importance of handiwork for the youth, emphasizing that those learning skilled trades should not be underestimated when it comes to education.

In the interview, the CEO expressed that acquiring a trade or skill does not imply a lack of education or intellect. “Learning handiwork is an education in itself. It equips individuals with practical skills and fosters creativity, problem-solving, and resilience. People shouldn’t assume that those in vocational fields are less educated,” she said.

She also highlighted the critical role that parents and relatives play in supporting young people pursuing hands-on professions. “It is essential for parents and relatives to encourage and assist the youth who are choosing to learn a trade. Not all success comes from traditional education; vocational skills can open doors to fulfilling careers and financial independence.”

In addition, the CEO extended an open invitation to those interested in learning handiwork, offering her support. “For anyone who wishes to learn the craft, I am always open to helping. Whether you are looking to enhance your skills or start from scratch, I am here to guide and mentor you. It’s important to create opportunities for young people to grow, and I am willing to share my knowledge with anyone eager to learn.”

Her message was clear: learning a trade is as valuable as formal education, and it’s time to acknowledge the contribution of artisans and skilled workers in shaping the future.
