Avoid outrageous campaign promises to prevent undue pressure from electorates – NPP Parliamentary Candidate Aspirant

Dr. Yao Yeboah, a former Parliamentary Candidate Aspirant for the New Patriotic Party in the Dormaa Central Constituency, has advised politicians to exercise prudence in their campaign promises to avoid undue pressure from constituents following electoral success.
During an interview on the GIFTs FM Morning Show, titled “Anopa Bosuo” hosted by Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, Dr. Yao Yeboah highlighted that individuals running for political office have visions and missions they wish to accomplish for the betterment of the populace, in alignment with their political party’s manifesto, therefore candidates should adhere to their party’s manifesto and adopt a more feasible and realistic approach to political campaigning by abstaining from making extravagant promises solely to gain political power.
He emphasized the necessity of avoiding excessive promises that could lead to significant pressure from the electorate after elections. By doing so, candidates can promote more honest communication with voters, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and accountable political environment, thereby maintaining integrity and building trust with the electorate.
