The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District, Abubakar Sedik, has handed over five developmental projects to contractors for the construction of educational and healthcare facilities in the municipality.
The five project include a construction of 6-unit classroom block with facilities at Manhyia D/A Primary,Mpasaso I,Mpasaso II D/A,Wioso health center and Oseikrom D/A primary in the District.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place during a comprehensive tour of various communities where the DCE handed over construction sites to contractors to commence work on the ambitious infrastructure projects, funded by the district Assembly’s common fund.The event witnessed significant attendance from key stakeholders,including the chiefs, contractors,assembly members, and district assembly staff.
At Manhyia D/A is construction of 6_Unit classroom block wth Ancillary,Mpasaso I is construction of Community center, Mpasaso II D/A construction of 3_unit classroom block with computer lab and Ancillary facilities, Oseikrom D/A Primary is construction of 3_unit classroom block with Ancillary .The DCE emphasized the comprehensive nature of the project, stating that the district is not simply building schools only to search for furniture later. The furniture, storage facilities, and office components are integral parts of the contraction contract.

A major healthcare milestone was marked with the sod cutting for a community-based health planning and services (CHPS) compound at Wioso .The facility will include nurses’ accommodation and will be equipped with all necessary facilities and equipment required for effective healthcare service delivery.
speaking in an interveiw with media at the ceremony,the DCE ,Hon.Abubakar Sedik announced that the contractors have been given eight months deadlines to complete all projects.He causioned them to adhere to agreement to complete the work per the stipulated time given to prevent any accurances.
To ensure project quality and adherence the specification, the DCE tasked the chiefs, assembly members and community to closely monitor the progress of all construction work.This oversight mechanism is designed to guarantee that contractors deliver quality workmanship that meets established standards and community needs.

Nana Agyie Mensah,Chief of Mpasaso I thanked the DCE for his enormous effort to bring educational facilities and healthcare center to their doorstep.
He also advised community members who will be employed to help in the construction to work diligently and abstain from stealing some of the building materials to their homes.
