The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested 35 years old suspect Benjamin Owusu for faking his own kidnapping and robbery attack at Fijai a suburb of Gomoa nyanyano in the Central Region.
The suspect sent a distress message to his landlord and neighbor that he is under a robbery attack at his residence.
Upon visiting the scene , Benjamin Owusu was not found with blood stains on the floor of his bedroom.The police DNA test proved Negative for human blood.
Police investigations revealed that the Benjamin Owusu confirmed to the police after his arrest that he killed a duck to stain his room to stage his kidnapping because he could not account for monies in his custody belonging to his employer.
He was arrested at his hideout at Akatamanso in the Ashanti Region
