Today, in Changsha in China’s Hunan Province, I have joined more than 30,000 people from 53 African countries, 11 international organisations and over 4,700 Chinese and African enterprises, financial institutions and business associations for this year’s China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo.

I have always said that Ghana must sit at the heart of any event designed to promote our future prosperity, especially one like the #CAETE, which offers a global platform where partnerships are forged, deals signed, and investment mobilised.

This is why I’ve travelled several miles here, to showcase Ghana’s pioneering ideas, transformative innovations and flagship goods and services to an audience of investors and potential partners who will support our country and continent’s vision for sustainable and inclusive development.

With China now offering 0% tariff on all exports from Ghana, this event is an even greater space to help us accelerate export growth, industralisation and job creation.
