The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has reportedly expressed surprise at FC Barcelonaβs accusations, which blamed the body for Lamine Yamalβs latest injury.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Yamal showed no discomfort upon arrival or departure from Spainβs training camp, and Barcelona did not notify the medical team of any pre-existing problems. Throughout the week, the 18-year-old forward was in constant contact with physios β including a BarΓ§a staff member β with only minor back discomfort noted.
Barcelona and coach Hansi Flick, however, have openly criticized Spain boss Luis de la Fuente for giving Yamal too many minutes in the recent qualifiers against Bulgaria and Turkey. The player is now suffering from pubic discomfort.
This ongoing dispute has added more tension between Barça and the national team regarding player management.
