National Democratic Congress had set May 13, 2023, for their presidential and parliamentary primaries. The NDC party in the Tano South constituency in the Ahafo region has 4 contestants who are all seeking to be elected as a parliamentary candidate to lead the party in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Speaking to Hon. Charles Akwasi Asiedu in an interview on High Radio Morning Show dubbed High Morning Breeze chaired by Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, the parliamentary candidate hopeful in the Tano South Constituency raised concerns on how some of his contenders going around sabotaging him to party delegates on tribal bases that he is not a native of Tano South hence he must be voted out of which he had called for swift attention from the party executives to take immediate step to halt those campaign messages, a situation he said will hinder the growth of the party.

He apprised his contenders that the NDC party always reward hard-working members and doesn’t vote on tribal line hence the need for them to focus on broadcasting what they can do rather than attacking him.

He made references to the past leaders of the party who triumph over their contenders due to hard work and dedication towards the development of the party and the country at large indicating that NDC as a political does not entertain tribal politics hence the commencement of tribalism in the quest of some aspirants to win power within the municipality will go a long way to affect the party.

He added that winning elections has nothing to do with tribalism but takes boldness, vigilance, and hard work and so he is on course to mastermind his way out in ensuring victory for himself in the primaries and subsequently win the upcoming general elections

He added that some of his contenders have used him as their campaign message by expressing false information about him that his cars and finances for the campaign were given to him by the NDC party of which he refuted those claims.

He stressed that members of Parliament are to lobby to ensure the development of their constituency hence provided their claims about him are true, that alone means he can lobby for Tano South when he is voted as MP because he is well known in the party, he has the roots in his support within the party and has served within the party for years now, therefore he will be the right person who can go out there to fight for the development of the constituency.

He finally urged all delegates to give him the mandate in their upcoming primaries by voting massively for him.

He also pleaded with his supporters and followers not to use foul words on his contenders in any way to ensure a peaceful election and successful reconciliation to foster unity among themselves to help them with the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections in the Tano South constituency and the country at large.
