It’s been suggested that BARCELONA might give David de Gea or Aaron Ramsdale a huge break to take Marc-Andre Ter Stegen’s position as the injured starting goalkeeper.

Ter Stegen might miss up to two months due to injury, therefore the La Liga heavyweights are apparently looking at at least NINE options.

Barcelona is expected to be keeping an eye on Aaron Ramsdale.

David de Gea is seen to be a potential replacement at Barcelona.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, the keeper for Barcelona, is courageous despite his ailment.

The 31-year-old Germany star missed Barca’s last three games and decided to have back surgery.

Additionally, Ramsdale, Arsenal’s backup goalkeeper, and De Gea, a former Manchester United star who is no longer with the team, may be considered, according to Spanish publication Sport.

However, it’s known that the Gunners would oppose any move, even a loan, to entice Ramsdale to leave in January.

The 25-year-old England star is eager to play often in order to secure his spot at Euro 2024.

Despite David Raya’s apparent dominance as Arsenal’s first choice, Emirates manager Mikel Arteta is keen to hold onto Ramsdale until the summer at the latest.

De Gea, a free agent, however, might be simpler to entice.

Following Nick Pope’s injury, the 33-year-old Spaniard has been connected to Newcastle this week as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia.

However, if Barca called, the former Atletico Madrid goalie would undoubtedly be persuaded.

Hugo Lloris, 36, is considered a potential candidate after Guglielmo Vicario stole his Tottenham spot under Ange Postecoglou.

However, Kasper Schmeichel’s name might be the most unexpected one to be mentioned.

Last summer, the 37-year-old former Leicester player signed a one-year contract to join Anderlecht.

Roman Burki, 33, the former goalkeeper for Borussia Dortmund, and Yassine Bounou, 32, the No. 1 for Al-Hilal, are both considered competitors in the Major League Soccer (MLS) division.

Keylor Navas, a former star player for Real Madrid, may also be watched because he is now far behind PSG’s first choice, Gianluigi Donnarumma, at 36.

Additionally, two more veterans who haven’t had a club since the summer would undoubtedly welcome a chance to work with Barcelona.

Sergio Asenjo, 34, a former star of Vallodolid, and Timo Horn, 30, a former goalkeeper for FC Koln, are those people.

Furthermore, there’s a potential Barca will quickly promote Ander Astralaga, 19, to the first team.
