Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has made the decision not to renew Lionel Messi’s contract with the club after his unauthorized visit to Saudi Arabia.

Messi’s deal with the Ligue 1 leaders expires at the end of the season, and his time with PSG appears to be coming to an end. The World Cup winner has been sanctioned with a two-week suspension from the club and will not receive any pay during this time or be allowed to train with the first team.

While Messi is expected to return for the final three matches of the season, they are likely to be his last with the French club. PSG has expressed dissatisfaction with Messi’s actions, and L’Equipe reports that the optional year in his contract will not be lifted.

Messi has been linked with a return to Barcelona, but a move there is unlikely due to financial constraints. On the other hand, he has received a massive offer to play for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, which could be a tempting proposition for him.
