In a series of impactful engagements across the Simpapebiso Electoral Area in Senya Beraku, Mr. Eugene Kofi Bentum Arhin, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Awutu Senya West Constituency, gained significant ground with the local electorate. During a Town Hall meeting, Mr. Arhin not only reaffirmed his commitment to the community’s development but also inspired residents with his dedication to fulfilling promises made during his campaign.
The event’s highlight came when Pastor Francis Aboagye of Glory Light Chapel, who had initially decided not to vote, publicly reversed his stance, describing it as a “moral duty” to support Eugene Arhin in the upcoming elections.
“I had resolved not to vote, but after hearing about Eugene Arhin’s numerous good works and meeting him personally today and hearing him speak, I realize that not voting would be an injustice to our community,” Pastor Aboagye stated. “Failure to support him could negatively affect many destinies.”
Pastor Aboagye’s declaration echoed the sentiments of everyone at the meeting that was heavily attended by pastors and opinion leaders in the electoral area, as Arhin received praise for his contributions to the development of the Awutu Senya West Constituency. The Acting President of the Senya Traditional Council, a resident of the electoral area, also lauded Mr. Arhin’s efforts, encouraging religious and opinion leaders to rally behind him and ensure his victory in December.
Accompanied by the Awutu Senya District Chief Executive, Hon. Moses Arhinful Acquah, and some NPP constituency executives, and the NPP Coordinator for the Electoral Area, Reverend Abeiku Okai, Eugene Arhin’s day of engagement was packed with a series of successful meetings in the highly energised Simpapebiso Electoral area, including discussions with Polling Station Executives and Campaign Teams. During these talks, he fulfilled a previous pledge by donating GHC 10,000 to the delegates as seed money for their welfare fund—a promise made prior to his 88% win in the primaries. Arhin assured the delegates that his commitment to their welfare and the community’s development remains steadfast.
Beyond formal meetings, the Parliamentary Candidate personally visited homes and interacted with local residents, before proceeding to meet with community groups and clubs. Among these was a group called “Nsroma for Eugene Arhin,” which boasts over 500 members, and other clubs with more than 200 members each. His grassroots approach strengthened his rapport with these groups, with many pledging their unwavering support.
The day concluded with engagements with special community groups known as “Patayinse.” Although time constraints limited Arhin to meeting only four out of the twelve groups, the discussions were highly fruitful, with Arhin listening to their needs and outlining his plans for further development in the constituency.
Throughout the engagements, Mr. Arhin emphasized the achievements of the NPP government, the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his own track record in Awutu Senya West. He urged voters to stay united, dismiss any calls for “skirt and blouse” voting, and commit fully to the NPP’s success in the December 2024 elections.
The day’s events showcased Arhin’s deep connection to the community and his resolve to drive progress, leaving many inspired and hopeful for the future of Awutu Senya West.
