Radio host Nana Romeo has called on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to ban all election-related predictions by religious leaders in order to maintain peace and order following the upcoming elections.

In a video, Nana Romeo expressed his concern over conflicting prophecies from various religious figures, noting that while one predicts a victory for the NDC, another foresees a win for the NPP. He highlighted that such contradictions could lead to confusion and unrest, especially if one of the prophecies fails to materialize.

“We all serve one true God, so how can God tell Prophet A that the NDC will win and then tell Prophet B that the NPP will win? If both prophets announce their predictions publicly, and one is proven wrong, it could spark tension,” Nana Romeo explained.

His appeal comes after several religious leaders, including Rev. Owusu Bempah, made conflicting predictions about the election results, raising concerns about potential disturbances once the final results are announced.

Nana Romeo believes that by banning such predictions, the IGP can help prevent post-election chaos and promote national unity.

“We are pleading with IGP Dampare to step in and ban election prophecies to preserve peace and lawfulness after the elections,” he urged.
