Mahama Criticizes Akufo-Addo Administration, Promises Change for Ghana’s Youth

Former President John Dramani Mahama has criticized the Akufo-Addo administration for creating challenging conditions for young entrepreneurs and diminishing opportunities. In comments made as part of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Manifesto on August 12, Mahama highlighted the increasing struggles faced by the youth under the current government.

He accused the administration of misusing national resources and vowed to recover any stolen funds if elected. Mahama lamented the high unemployment rates and lack of opportunities for young people, stating that the situation has worsened over time.

He also criticized the current state of Ghana’s education system and rising public debt, which he believes have contributed to a sense of hopelessness among the populace.Pledging to create more opportunities for young people, Mahama assured voters that his government would work to restore faith in the nation and its institutions.

He emphasized his commitment to addressing these challenges and promised significant changes if elected, alongside Professor Naana Opoku-Agyemang, who he announced will be Ghana’s first female Vice President.
