Kasoa Amanfro Top Town, a once-peaceful community in the Ga South municipality, has been transformed into a hotspot for armed robbery. For three agonizing months, residents have lived in fear of marauding gangs, who strike with impunity, brandishing knives and guns.
The latest incident, which occurred on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, has left the community reeling. A mobile money vendor was brutally attacked and shot multiple times, sending shockwaves through the town.
Residents, exhausted by the relentless attacks, are now calling on the Ghana Police Service to intervene. “We can’t take it anymore,” said one frustrated resident. “The police must deploy nighttime patrol teams to protect us. We’re living in constant fear.”
