Former Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Oda in the Eastern Region, Anane Boateng Abenya popularly known as Chairman Abenya has said he would join the New Patriotic Party (NPP) if delegates vote for Assin Central MP, Ken Ohene Agyapong to be the flagbearer of the party.
In his view, among all the flagbearer aspirants, Mr Agyapong stands tall as the one to deliver the country for the economic challenges.
He referred to the businesses that Mr Agyapong has established in the country that are giving jobs to the people as one of the main reasons he should be voted for.
Chairman Abenya said these when he stormed the center in Oda where the campaign team of Mr Agyapong was meeting some delegates in the constituency.
He told the gathering that “If you vote for Kennedy Agyapong, I will quit NDC and join the NPP to support him.”
“So far, among all the aspirants he is the one who has the capacity to work because of what he has already done in the area of job creation,” he added.
