GFZA Delegation Visits Samartex Logistics Office to Mark 20th Anniversary

A delegation from the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), led by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Finance & Administration, Mr. Musah Sibiri Hamidu, paid a courtesy visit to the logistics office of Samartex Timber & Plywood Company Ltd., a leading timber and plywood producer, to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary as a Free Zone Enterprise.
The Deputy CEO was accompanied by the Director of Corporate Affairs, PR & Aftercare, Dr. Patience Agbleze Acorlor, the Senior Manager, Mr. Bilal Muazu Sulemana, and other officers from the Corporate Affairs & PR Department.
The visit formed part of the Authority’s commitment to strengthening relationships with licensed Free Zone Enterprises and recognizing their contributions to Ghana’s industrial growth and export drive.
In his remarks, the Deputy CEO applauded Samartex for two decades of dedication, resilience, and consistency as a Free Zone Enterprise. He encouraged the company to continue upholding the values of excellence, innovation, and compliance that define the Free Zones programme. He further emphasized that under the Reset Agenda and the 24-Hour Economy Policy, government remains committed to supporting the private sector to drive growth and sustainability.
On his part, the branch manager at the logistics office, Mr. Nicholas Pronk-Eshun expressed appreciation to the Authority for the visit and assured the delegation of the company’s continued commitment to contributing its quota to the growth of the national economy.
