Central East police command has two suspects in possession of 519 parcels of Suspected Indian Hemp

The Central East police command has arrested two suspect in Possession of substances suspected to be indian hemp at Gomoa nyanyano in the Central region .

 

The suspect namely Eric Nkyeke and Francis Klu aged 30 and 28 respectively were apprehended with 519 pieces of compressed Parcels of substances suspected to be indian hemp by the nyanyano district police patrol.

 

The suspects who were then offloading the said substances from a Toyota Hilux pick up truck with the registration number GS- 6849-21 were arrested and are currently in police custody assisting with investigations. Meanwhile the vehicle has been impounded .

The regional police command in appreciating the arresting officers , also reaffirms it’s commitment to fighting drug related crimes and ensuring the safety of our communities . The command further warns all individuals involved in such crimes to desist or face the full rigours of the law if arrested.

The Central East command urges members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities related to drugs or crime to the police
