C/R: DRIVER IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER CONTAINER FALLS ON MINI CARGO TRUCK AT GOMOA BIAKOYƐ
A driver of a mini cargo vehicle is in critical condition after a 20-foot container fell from a trailer onto his vehicle at Gomoa Biakoyɛ, a suburb of Buduburam on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway in the Central Region.
According to eyewitnesses , the mini cargo truck was heading toward Kasoa when the incident occurred.
The trailer, which was traveling in the opposite direction toward Winneba, reportedly lost control of its container at Gomoa Biakoyɛ.
The container fell directly onto the cargo vehicle, trapping the driver inside the wreckage.
Residents and commuters quickly rushed to the scene and managed to rescue the driver before he was rushed to St. Gregory Hospital for treatment.
The victim is said to have sustained serious injuries, including broken legs.
