The video game EA Sports FC 24 will feature MASON Greenwood, but there is a catch.

The well-known football game is scheduled for release on September 29 and follows the controversial striker’s removal from FIFA 22 as a result of his detention.

Mason Greenwood will be featured in the most recent edition of the well-known video game, according to EA Sports.

After being loaned out by Manchester United to Getafe, Greenwood has been spotted practicing with the Spanish team.

Greenwood was cleared of attempted rape, assault, and coercive control charges in February, and he is now on loan from Manchester United to Getafe.

“EA Sports FC 24 authentically reflects the active rosters of teams and clubs in the real world of football,” according to a statement from EA Sports.

“Mason Greenwood will be included in FC 24 as he is now a member of an active roster with Getafe CF,” it was announced.

The 21-year-old, however, won’t be included in EA’s popular Ultimate Team mode because he wasn’t a member of an active squad as of the cutoff date.

In the game mode called Ultimate Team, you can unlock players to add to a virtual team that you can use to compete online.

Greenwood had a potential rating of 90 when he last made an appearance in a FIFA update on January 27, 2017.

EA continued, “Greenwood will not feature in Ultimate Team at launch as he was not a member of an active roster at the time of our cut-off date for final team and player data.

Greenwood was detained in January 2022, and on February 2 of this year, the allegations against him were withdrawn.

Greenwood was loaned to the Spanish La Liga team after Manchester United announced the results of an internal inquiry and that he would be leaving the team in August.

“All those involved, including Mason, recognize the difficulties with him resuming his career at Manchester United,” read a statement from the club.

Therefore, it has been decided that doing so outside of Old Trafford would be most appropriate. We will now cooperate with Mason to make that happen.

“Based on the information at our disposal, we have come to the conclusion that the internet content did not present a complete picture and that Mason did not conduct the offenses for which he was first charged.

That being said, Mason has made mistakes that he is accepting responsibility for, as he has said publicly today.

Greenwood will be added back to Football Manager, another well-known video game, which made the announcement last week.

“Players or officials serving indefinite suspensions from football, for any reason, are removed from Football Manager at the earliest opportunity,” a spokeswoman for Sports Interactive told The Athletic.

“Players or officials who have had their suspensions or playing restrictions lifted will be re-instated in-game at the next scheduled update.”

The story comes after it was claimed that Harriet Robson, Greenwood’s girlfriend, had been spotted out and about with a few of the Getafe Wags.

Just prior to the transfer window closing last month, Greenwood agreed to a contract with the Spanish team.

A stadium full of spectators later witnessed Greenwood’s introduction, and videos posted to the club’s social media pages show him working out.

His debut game for Getafe was supposed to have happened last week, but an international break caused club football to be suspended for a week.

And Getafe is said to have gone above and above to make sure he is accommodated off the field before his debut.

He only joined the loan program ten days ago, but on September 17 he is anticipated to play against Osasuna.

In February of this year, the allegations against Greenwood were withdrawn.
