Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa East in the Central Region and aspiring parliamentary candidate, Mr Kojo Asemanyi, says he is confident that he will win the parliamentary primaries, become MP and continue the good work that he started in the area when he was MP.

“The downfall of a man is not the end of his life.  I know for sure that in the 2024 General Elections, I am taking back the seat from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC),” he declared.

Mr. Kojo Asemayi, widely known as Call Your MP, will be contesting the primaries with three other aspirants. He urged delegates to vote for him as their parliamentary candidate because he has the requisite experience and “knows the road” as a former MP of the constituency.

“I want all my delegates to know that I have travelled this road before and I know the potholes of this road. I know where we fell short and I am ready to make amends.  And it’s very difficult for me to go and repeat the same mistakes” he noted.

Mr. Asemayi added that so far as infrastructural development and lobbying for infrastructure development are concerned, Gomoa East needs a “very sharp person” to stand on his feet in the Chamber of Parliament and advocate for it.

“We need a very sharp person who will be going to the ministries, departments and agencies to lobby for goodies for the constituency” Mr. Asemanyi stressed.

In an interview with MyNewsGh.com reporter, Hajia Asana Gordon after filling his nomination, he appealed to the delegates to give him the opportunity to be the leader of the party in the constituency again.

According to him, his “loss in the 2020 parliamentary elections was shocking. And he would work to be victorious in 2024.
