Rescuers from the Anyinam Fire Station on Wednesday, May 18, 2023 at 0610 hours, responded to a road crash involving a Hyundai Sonata vehicle with registration number GS 7776 – 19 at Enyiresi on the Accra – Kumasi highway.
The driver of the Hyundai vehicle lost control, somersaulted and landed in a nearby stream while attempting to give way to an on coming Sprinter bus, which was overtaking another vehicle.
All three (3) trapped occupants of the Hyundai vehicle (two female and a male) drowned instantly. The expired bodies were retrieved, handed to the Police and deposited at the Enyiresi Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and further investigation.
