The Director-General, Dr Eric Nkansah has joined the Hon. Minister for Education, Hon Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum for a four-day tour of the Ashanti Region from Friday 28th April 2023.

On Day 1, the team paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and congratulated him as he marks 24 years of exceptional leadership as King of the Asante kingdom.

After receiving Otumfour’s blessings, they visited the following schools:

1. Asem Boys JHS where they inspected the construction of a STEM Model JHS

2. Wesley College of Education, Kumasi

3. WESCO Demonstration Practice Basic School

4. Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School

5. Kumasi Girls Senior High School where they inspected the construction of a Girls’ STEM SHS

6. Kumasi High School

The enthusiasm and excitement of the students and teachers engaged with were encouraging.

The Director-General is looking forward to engaging many more students and teachers as they continue the tour.
