TOPIC: Overcoming Fear.
TEXT:“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” – Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)
MEMORY VERSE: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
Fear is a natural human emotion, but it can also be a stumbling block in our relationship with God. In Deuteronomy 31:8, we are told to not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord goes before us and will never fail or abandon us. We must trust in God’s promises and His presence in our lives, even when we feel afraid.
In 2 Timothy 1:7, we are reminded that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We have the power of God’s love and grace within us, which can help us overcome our fears and doubts. We must rely on God’s strength and not our own, and we must trust in His love to carry us through.
Let us pray: Dear God, we come to You today with our fears and doubts. Help us to trust in Your promises and to rely on Your strength to overcome our fears. Fill our hearts with Your love and peace, and help us to remember that You are with us always. Thank You for Your unfailing love and grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
