Selangor FC’s striker, Abdul Rauf Salifu, was named Man of the Match in their recent 3-0 victory against Kelantan in the Malaysian Super League. Salifu, who previously played for Accra Lions, scored two goals in the match, leading his team to a comfortable win on Sunday.
Salifu’s first goal came in the 80th minute with a magnificent strike, and he secured his brace with a spectacular finish ten minutes later. The opening goal was scored by Ayron del Valle in the first half.
The 20-year-old Salifu transferred to Selangor FC from Accra Lions after a brief stint with Sporting Kansas City in the United States. He was the top scorer in the Ghanaian Division One league before moving to America, where he helped Accra Lions gain promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Although he only made a few appearances in the top flight before moving to Malaysia, Salifu reunited with his Accra Lions teammates Alex Agyarkwa and Richmond Ankrah in Selangor FC. His outstanding performance in the recent match has further cemented his position as a key player for his team.
