Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Bolgatanga Central, Elvis figo Awonekai, has been elected as the new Upper East Regional Chairman of the NPP.
He emerged victorious in the party’s Regional Delegates Conference held today. The election was described as peaceful and successful.
Speaking after the election, the Regional Youth Organizer Salau-ddeen Musah, said everything that transpired was “the will of God.”
He encouraged all party members to continue to trust in God and work together for the growth of the party.
The Upper East Regional Chairman elect Elvis figo Awonekai Atia spoke to
Akumbo Wakiki one of the aspirants who was disqualified, was also present at the grounds. He used the opportunity to deliver an encouragement message to all delegates who voted.
He urged members to put the election behind them and unite for the progress of the party in the region.
