Gov’t Delivering Relief to the people of Builsa North and Building Consensus in Parliament

The Majority Leader Nominee in Parliament and Member of Parliament for Builsa North, James Agalga, says the National Democratic Congress government is delivering on its mandate in line with the party’s manifesto and the “Resetting Ghana Agenda” is already in motion.

 

 

 

Speaking to the media during a visit to the people of Builsa North after Parliament rose, James Agalga noted that, the NDC has a clear blueprint and government business will be delivered without disruption.

 

According to him, the Majority Leader’s role simply is to ensure that government business is not disrupted. They get their business passed and approved by the legislature. If the constitution requires that they obtain prior parliamentary approvals before it take certain steps.

He added that the majority will ensure that the business is not disrupted in any way in Parliament.

 

 

 

Mr. Agalga stated that Parliament will work to build consensus with the Minority Caucus to ensure the smooth passage of government business.

 

For his part, the majority will not be abuse their numerical advantage in Parliament. But ,If the minority choose to be reckless or destructive, at that point the majority will hold them or keep them at bay.

 

 

In a related development, the Builsa North MP and Municipal Chief Executive for Builsa North Solomon Akogti has presented relief items to the Builsa North Municipal NADMO Director to distribute to the victims of recent floods in the municipality.

 

Presenting the relief items which includes Cooking oil, Rice, buckets and five hundred ( 500) student mattress, Agalga said the support is part of government’s commitment to stand with communities affected by disasters.
