Organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have announced a change of venue for the 27th edition of the prestigious music awards ceremony. In a statement released on Tuesday, May 5, Charterhouse Productions confirmed that the event, originally scheduled to take place at the Palms Convention Centre, will now be hosted at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
The ceremony is set for Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 7:00 pm. According to the organisers, the decision to relocate the event reflects the growing scale and production ambitions of the awards.
“The move to the Grand Arena aligns with the evolving scope and production standards of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. With its expansive capacity, state-of-the-art technical infrastructure, and enhanced flexibility, the Grand Arena provides the ideal setting to deliver the world-class experience audiences have come to expect,” Charterhouse Productions stated.
The venue, which has hosted TGMA since 2019, is specifically designed to support the dynamic staging, broadcast requirements, and audience engagement that define the awards.
Charterhouse also extended its gratitude to key stakeholders, including headline sponsor Telecel Ghana, as well as the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for their continued support in hosting this year’s event.
Nominees, industry players, and the general public are invited to attend what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Ghanaian music, culture, and global influence.
Recognised as one of the country’s premier entertainment events, the Telecel Ghana Music Awards continues to honour excellence and innovation within the Ghanaian music industry.
