The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has expressed his apologies to motorists affected by the road diversions at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange. In a statement shared on his X page, the Minister emphasized that the ongoing diversions are essential for ensuring public safety.
“Please bear with us. Apologies for any inconvenience,” Agbodza wrote.

The road expansion and diversion works have caused significant traffic disruptions, especially for drivers heading towards Tema, Haatso, Adenta, and surrounding areas. As of 10:00 PM on March 9, reports from 3news’ correspondents confirmed that traffic was moving at a snail’s pace from all directions, further exacerbating delays for commuters.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly as the expansion project continues to affect traffic flow on the Accra-Tema Motorway.
