Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako has given a strong indication that they will force John Dramani Mahama to debate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the 2024 elections.
According to him, the people of Ghana need to have a better understanding of the various policies the two major political parties will be introducing if they win power in 2025, and the former president cannot run away from it.
“We will force John Mahama to debate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. Everywhere he passes, we will follow him with the debate. It is about the policies. There’s hardship across the globe because of COVID and Russia Ukraine War which is not our fault,” he said.
“The disease came and we had to stay home, we could not travel and live our lives. During the period, this government was employing nurses and personnel in security. Employed Government workers were being paid. Nana Akufo-Addo said he knew how to bring back the economy and not the dead people. So everyone appreciates that the NPP has done marvelously well,” he said.
